The Best Gift is to Give Part of Your Self

......and that is the powerful little sentiment on these two cards made for my Dentist and her assistant!  They both speak Spanish and since I had this one stamp " el mejor regalo es dar una parte de ti mismo " I couldn't resist using it to adorn the cards!

Introducing MY DENTIST

I must say that my dentist and her staff are amazing!  They treat you with such kindness, you have no idea!  Both my daughter and I are nervous when it comes to dental procedures, but through their care, I am coming around to being a much more comfortable patient.

If you are near our area, you might want to see Dr. Rodriquez here BELLESMERE DENTAL CLINIC - as you can see they have more than just me as happy patients!

THE CARDS

I wanted SIMPLE and SUNNY - and I think I pulled that off!
These cards are under 5 minutes to make each - and the fact that they
will belong soon to two people who share something similar in their lives meant
I wanted to make each one an individual effort, and yet, retain something in common - an
easy breezy style!  And colour - lushious colour!

Check out this flower!  Dimension is good, very good for a card - or any project!  Colour combinations
are fun - like picking our your outfit for the day!!!   Then you can combine layers of printed patterns when
the colours are paired nicely.....my Concord Crush and Poppy colours are also
lightened with the addition of the white paper.  Add another burst of colour
with the brad - and presto, you've got a fantastic flower!

Unfortunately, this is one of the dies in our Retiring List which is currently running
through Stampin' Up! transition to our NEW CATALOGUE due out June !.
So if you want this die for the Big Shot -contact me :)

On this card - I treated the TOP a little differently!   Its created with one of our newest dies - Adorning Accents, and a simple little step like this helps you to create interesting style.....its easy smeasy!!!

And this flower is one of our current Punches and the scalloped border was created with one of our most recent additions to the Stampin' Up family!  The paper and ribbons shown here
today are retiring {the green retired awhile ago - but is similar to another
current colour}.....but I've always got a 'stash', lol!

Combine your greeting with sweet styled die-cut borders....

...or for something different, turned sideways!  Here it is paired with the strip
of co-ordinating designer floral paper {polka dot Poppy paper is a separate sheet}.

I love trying to make something regular become a little irregular!  Try it!

And don't forget your dentist - they're helpin' you keep a good-looking smile {ting!}

Stampin' Up!'s Apothecary Art and Labels to " Die " for!

OMG! This card will convince you of the beautiful results you'll reap when you apply a little creative thinking!

An apparently talented SU Demonstrator, Ann Schach, transformed a floral stamp set which was only released this Jan - yes, right now -  into a Holiday Greeting card!
[How was that possible you ask - well, as a SU Demo she would have had the stamp set through a pre-order arrangement, which is how we demos can experiment and show you some examples.

The point is - that this opens up my eyes into how myself and customers can buy this ' Labels ' Die Set {nesting dies!!!!} and the beautiful 'Apothecary Art ' Occasions Mini Stamp Set ....and use them to make next years cards for christmas!  A normally spring/summer floral for a christmas card - that's being clever!

And isn't this so pretty?

I found this gem on the blog of Stampin' Up! Dianne Sisneros
Her blog ' For the Love of Stamping ' is showcasing wonderful talent of herself and others!
Go have a look!

Emboss a Beautiful Card with Stampin' Up!'s New Designer Frames and Stripes!

Good Morning on this nice Thursday!

I have something pretty to share today -  a beautiful card made by my lovely daughter!

She is so talented when she wants to be - I always tell her that because I have to drag her away from her computer into my craft room - yeah - hard to believe, right! LOL!

So when she does pop in to craft with me - she's awesome!  She can make a card in a snap - whereas I fuss and fuss!

This time I watched her muse around my new products from Stampin' Up! and I already knew she loves the newest line of IN COLORs in particular, POOL PARTY - so it was no surprise she gravitated towards it for her cardstock.  So you can imagine her seeing the matching RIBBON!!!

Then she picked up one of two embossing folders called DESIGNER FRAMES and also our STRIPES  - and she was off!  No sooner had I inked up a greeting stamp - she was done!  [Where do the young get their speed - its like they have a pot of gold somewhere that they dip into and they are ready to go :)]

Here it is!

Isn't it darling?

And like the greeting from our WORD PLAY set, there are lots of possibilities with this design!  Obviously I will have to drag her into my craft room more often, he he!

Crafternoons!
your pal, Taylor :)
