NEW FREE Stampin' Up! PUNCHES! FREE PAPERS! Life is 'tweet'!

Hey - hello to all!  Time is just flying around here and its Tuesday already which means it's my blog time! :)

My daughter and I made these cards not long ago, and in fact, I have a special person in mind to give one of them to tomorrow.  We know lots of winter 'baby' folks, { including myself since it is officially February - and my birthday is looming!}.  But - a friend of mine, a great fella, HILTON turned 76 just a little while ago, and so I will present this card to him.  Its really a good card as the paper colours and birdcage are not overly feminine and lots of men enjoy birds - so all is good!

CARD DESIGN
Its a really simple card - layering, and multi-dimensional dots to boost the focal point of the birdcage up. Elements of repetition are at work to balance the design well....see, the stripes of the paper echo the straight lines of the birdcage while the circular shape of the scallop trim is repeated in the circles visible on the paper, and the roof of the birdcage. All the colours are made to co-ordinate, and the layered borders around the birdcage helps to make all the colours 'pop'.  A bit of ribbon finishes the whole effect!

CARD SUPPLIES

The card is featuring more of the papers you can find in the Sweet Pea Designer Series Stack - there's plenty to satisfy any taste in this offering: 48 sheets, double-sided and the colours range from soft pinks, vanillas, blues and greens to deeper hues of brown, rose, teal, greens, etc. There are graphic designs {stripes, circles, dots, etc.} and cutesy trees and flowers and elegant butterflies - very versatile.

AND check out one of the new punches!  This is available in both a border and a corner punch - so cool that we have come so far in just a few years that we all can make gorgeous designs with the tools at our fingertips!  The punch is: SCALLOP TRIM BORDER - and its FREE, FREE, FREE - with Sale-A-Bration!  WHooo-hoo - AND the matching SCALLOP TRIM CORNER PUNCH is available as a separate purchase - so you can use it towards your $65 purchase to enable you to take the border punch home free.

  The stamp set for the bird in the cage is.....FREE!  LOL - more goodies from the SAB cataloque...this is a different stamp from the same set, HAPPY MOMENTS, which was featured in the previous post.
*Ribbon = regular Stampin Up! IDEA Cataloque

NEW-NEW-NEW DEVELOPMENTS AT STAMPIN' UP!!! :)

start thinking.....January 5th.....January 5th.....January 5th!

wHooT-Whooo!
For several past years, there has been an enthusiastic question  from demonstrators and customers alike  - when will SU offer a line of repositionable clear-mount stamps?  We heard you, and now ta-da! Our new "babies" to the SU line.....Clear Block Handles and Repositionable Rubber Stamp Sets - plus our regular Wood Handles ...remain!  Yay!!!

Starting with stamps in the 2010 Occasions Mini Catalog and the 2010 Sale-A-Bration Brochure, Stampin′ Up! now offers our exclusive stamp art in both traditional wood-mount, and the new clear-mount option.

When?  Why it all begins January 5th!!!!

Our company's position to hold out till we had the best there is image quality in the stamping industry, AND  offering the ease-of-use and convenient storage in repositionable clear-mount stamps has paid off.....

Clear-Mount Features

  • Nine different sizes of clear blocks available individually or as a discounted bundle.
    Blocks have ergonomic grooves on all four sides for easy grip and traditional wood-mount feel.
  •  Stamps and blocks are durable and easy to clean with your Stampin’ Scrub and Stampin' Mist.
  •  Optional image labels on stamp backs let you decide if you want to see the image through the block or not.
  •  Tight die-cutting for easy image positioning.
  • Large clear blocks can be used to create collages or spell words with alphabet sets.
  • Stamps store easily in standard, DVD-type cases with artwork on front and spine, making organization easy.

SO HOW GREAT IS THAT! BEST OF BOTH WORLDS!!!   I know I will have a hard time knowing which option to go with - as I love both types, so I'll have to figure out some 'system' to my purchases - (such a hard problem to have, giggle)......I love the solid feel of wood - and the best part though, is I prefer rubber - and I don't have to give that up - I can still collect 'rubber' stamps but just not necessarily 'wooden' handles.....then with storage being 'easier' now with the new option - that means I can have twice as many stamp sets! :)

BUT WAIT...THERE'S MORE!

Introducing Our New PUNCH DESIGN!   dOUble WhOOt!!

If I spoke of new babies to our line of great products - well, then we've had twins!  We now will phase in our "new" punches with a terrific, slimmer body design :)

Here's the scoop from HQ's:
Starting with the new 2010 Occasions Mini Catalogue and continuing with all new punch designs going forward, Stampin' Up! has adopted a new body style for our punches!  {think January 5th!}

 A few features of the new punch style:

  •    Low-profile, rectangular punch body allows for easier stacking and storing
  • Punches lock shut for easier storage and transport
  • Dual labels on top and end allow for easy identification and selection when stored
  • Available in three sizes: small, medium, and extra-large
  • New punches allow for larger punched images and more intricate designs while providing greater ease of use.
  • Extra -large punch images also allow for two-step designs like the Two-Step Bird punch in the Occasions Mini Catalogue
  • Corner punches allow you to punch a corner design along the inside edges of a page, not just corners
  • larger, whole-hand handle design provides better leverage for easier use
  • Available in an exclusive Stampin' Up! color

Part of Stampin' Up!'s commitment to providing demonstrators and customers with the very best crafting tools includes the belief in what we call continuous improvement. Essentially what this means is that even if something works very well, but we see a chance to improve it, we will work to make it even better. While new punch designs will be in the new body style, existing designs will remain in the existing body style for now.
{hey - I'll bring in the latest word every step of the way! wink}

Holiday Party! Sun Nov 29 Come On Over!

NOVEMBER 29th - 1:30 PM, My HOLIDAY PARTY for my customers and friends!

I am posting today about my H O L I D A Y Par-teeeee!  (OK, my daughter will cringe when she sees that, ha ha)

Every year, I am one of those countless Hostesses myself - but I absolutely love it, so I hope to see as many friendly faces as I can !

Not that I don't love a challenge, but do you cringe just a little when deciding how to decorate for the holidays?  I think we all do!  I am happy that this year I invested in some of our Stampin' Up! holiday line's fabulous items......such as the Christmas Pop-Up Tree!  I just received it yesterday, so I must get cracking and do the learning thing - yes, I have to too!  So when you see me demo it, you'll know I stayed up late one night (with cocoa!)....figuring out the do's & don'ts (there are always don'ts...)....the sound of slicing paper, a few @!zx8u!! when I drop my paper piercer on my toe or get ink smudges - but luckily its more silence than noise as my rapt attention, task at hand  draws me into the 'crafting zone' !

{shown above in an 'undressed' way - wait till you see it "really" decorated!}

Then - I purchased a Decor Elements piece, Holiday Mix. This is a 8-1/2 x 11 sheet filled with removable and repositionable plastic images and letters which I can use to decorate - how easy!  Just line them up and smooch them on!   Easy-smeeshy!   But not only that - you can use them to etch glass or smooth ceramic or mirrored objects!   As ususal the craft community comes up with these ideas!

I am working on an ADVENT CALENDAR!   I do one every year - last year I believe we hung little tied up pouches of candy from a birch branch.  I love branches but I'll see if I can think of something else this year....well, with stamps sets and all the lovely bits.....I am enjoying myself immensely crafting.

Now if you can not make it to my party to have some cocoa, chat, do a quick project and just visit...don't fret!  Online - I will make a special day of it too with a project to share .....just wait to see!  I want you to share the fun! :)

TODAY's CRAFT IDEA.....brought to you by "Tree Trimmings" Stamp Set # 116722, see Holidays in our catalogue or online store.

We're all seeing how popular the ornament motif is this year - it's everywhere!  I like them myself so I have no complaints....this set is wonderful, its in our regular catalog.

IF YOU WANT TO PURCHASE ANY PRODUCTS SEEN HERE - CLICK HERE

Here are some of the lovely projects I have found for Tree Trimmings - enjoy!

Here is a close-up of the nice 1/2 in. Polka-Dot Grosgrain Ribbon  {Rich Razzleberry, # 115613 from our IN COLORs this year} used on the project above - and the wider 1-1/4 in Striped Grosgrain Ribbon {Old Olive, #115618 } is sooooo gorgeous to have!  It's one of those yummy type products!  I have used it in one of my home decor projects which I will show online after my party!  Still plenty of time to order for yourself if you wish!

Speaking of ribbon, must get back to crafting.....and my lovely daughter is home on this damp day, so must make some soup!

Cheers all!
