* Hi!
Its been awhile since I've posted, but that shouldn't be a surprise with all the lovely weather! Yes, we have been out and about and turning to our 'spring things' which includes the fun stuff such as window-shopping for new spring clothes - yay! And the necessary, arranging for our beloved pooch to get his medical check and grooming - he is going to look soooo strange when we shave him down, half his size for sure, lol!
I also have a friend and fellow Stampin' Up! Demonstrator who is in one of our local hospitals and she's recovering nicely - hi Maria!
Also, I did have a class recently where some fab girls came who were new to this hobby - hi gals! Everything went swimmingly well and they left with their projects looking great!!
So now I must turn to some new projects!
Spring projects, of course! It's time for more blooms! AND since our Occasions Mini Catalogue has only 1 more month left before its time is at an end, I will turn to featuring projects with the lovely products it boasts!
Such products as.....the new nesting FRAMELITE DIES 'Labels' and 'Hearts' which have 6 different sizes each - so lots you can do with those, and I absolutely LUV the shape of the Labels set, but the Hearts set is a must too after all....when couldn't you use a Heart?
And then the fantastic new EDGELITE DIES - which allow you to create 2 sets of different borders on your projects AND there's more.....they have matching EMBOSSING FOLDERS ......AND the Stamp Set " BORDERING ON ROMANCE " matches too!!!!! Yes - its all so very cool!
Now that you know some of which I am all excited about - let me show YOU what is possible with but a few of these products.........
Lets look at the HEARTS FRAMELITE COLLECTION # 125599 retails at $32.95:
....there are the 6 sizes and the largest has a SCALLOPED BORDER. Lovely!
Now lets see "BORDERING ON ROMANCE" Stamp Set which comes both in traditional wood-mount #125480, $33.95 and in my choice, clear-mount #125482, $26.95
*The bottom stamp, in the dotted pattern is a co-ordinating stamp for the EDGELITE Dies, "Adorning Accents" featured on page 11 of our Occasions Mini Catalogue - in fact, you will find all these products within the first few pages! IF you do not have a copy, CLICK on the LINKS posted at the beginning of this post or on my sidebar to the right.
FINALLY! HERE IS WHAT I DID! {hey, I am just being 'thorough' ! lol}
Please CLICK on PHOTOS to see a CLOSE-UP VIEW
....beginning with cutting 2 of the largest sized Hearts and stamping them in 2 variations and colouring.....
.....then cutting plain cardstock to either create a support backing, or a co-ordinating 'frame'.....as I have done here with this large scalloped blue heart {sponged with rose ink}.
COLOURING MY STAMPED IMAGES
I've coloured both stamped images using our AQUA BRUSH and various inks. I start by
colouring each in lighter shades and then layering deeper shades on top. Its very easy with the Aqua Brush!
I also highlight each image with ....what else, but glitter! Easy once more using our DAZZLING DIAMONDS Glitter in a bottle with fine applicator!
NOW - here you can make a CLEAN and SIMPLE CARD {CAS} - lovely!
*HEY I AM THRILLED !!!!
THIS CARD WAS CHOSEN IN
Or take it up a level and embellish with gems, ribbons, fabric flowers and intense dotted background Patterns Designer Series Paper shown here in one of our 2012 In Colors, Concord Crush.
Once again - a simple card with an intersting edge to the card - highlighted with more Dazzling Details glitter!
Add some ribbon and a simple knot - WHICH by the way, I am going to post some interesting details next
about creating a simple ribbon technique - so COME BACK FOR MY NEXT POST!
Or again - add details with gems and pearls! Look closely, I have added gems in matching colours along the edges and within the flower centers!
As you can see, SPRING CARDS are a beautiful reminder to someone to show you care about them! AND they are so nice to make - it really 'lifts' you up higher! Take time to stamp something lovely to celebrate our new season!
THANKS FOR YOUR VISIT!
mwah!
